Rick Schmitt, founder and owner.
The Bike Shack has been your family shop for over 30 years.  Founded in 1979 by Rick Schmitt, our business has been operated by the same family since then.  These family members are Rick's daughter Pam, nephew Dan, and grandson Josh.  Originally located at Burlington and Primrose in Dubuque, Iowa, The Bike Shack has changed locations a few times over the years as our store has grown.  In 1998, we moved to our current location at 3250 Dodge Street.

The Bike Shack is the oldest same owner Bike Store in the area, and we have the most consistent staff around.  With over 75 years of combined experience, you are guaranteed to see a familiar face when you come in.
